| Nepal is located in South Asia and shares territorial borders with India and China. Previously ruled as a kingdom, today it is a Federal Democratic Republic. Nepal is known for its exquisite natural beauty, with the iconic Himalayas running across the northern and western part of the country. Eight of the fourteen highest mountains in the world, including Mount Everest, reside within the country's borders. Although Nepal is a relatively small country in comparison with its neighbors, it has an astonishingly diverse landscape, from the rugged Himilayas in the north to the humid Terai plains in the south. The capital and largest city is Kathmandu. Volunteering Activity invites volunteers to have a summer adventure in Nepal and balance humanitarian and travel experiences as they embark on this meaningful journey of a lifetime. |

Phase I (One day orientation in Kahtmandu and 2 weeks volunteering at the orphanage in Kathmandu or school teaching in mountain school in Kabhre District) |

| Volunteers are picked up and driven to our hostel. Volunteers receive on day of orientation in Kathmandu and depart for 2 weeks volunteering either at the orphanages in Kathmandu or they go to work in mountain district Kabhre. It depends on majority's interest. Volunteers will teach basic, conversational English to the children and organize fun, yet educational, activities. Volunteers also lend a helping hand with orphanage and kitchen operation. There is free time to hike the beautiful areas surrounding Kathmandu Valley and experience the peace and tranquility of amazing Nepal. |

Phase III (13 days Annapurna and Machhapuchhre Base Camp Trekking) |

| In this phase, volunteers will trek the most beautiful and popular tourist destination of Nepal. These 13-days offer natural discovery via a Himalayan hiking experience. Trekkers depart from Kathmandu and go to Pokhara and spend 1 day there and start trekking from Pokhara. The Himalayan range is one of the most enthralling treks in the world. The Annapurna and Everest hike is not only a hiking destination, but also an incredible and life-changing journey through diverse communities, cultures, religions. Incredibly, this trek is supported by the world famous Gurung or Sherpa cult - the most widely known climbers of the world. |
